Enough Incorporated is a non-profit company incorporated in California on May 11, 2023.
Our mission is to create a safe and secure environment for children, schools, and communities from the scourge of gun violence.
To accomplish this mission, we engage volunteers in activities in support of three key initiatives, initially focused on positively impacting the
Coachella Valley in California:
1. Community engagement & awareness
2. Volunteer-powered surveillance
3. Advocacy & policy reform
Community engagement and awareness
- Engage with leaders of relevant community functions (e.g., city, councils, school districts, parks and recreation administrations,
mental health services, emergency medical services, law enforcement) to understand what they are already doing, and how we can
best add value. - Where there is a vacuum, create curriculum for teachers around causal factors of physical violence, e.g., bullying, anxiety,
depression, isolation, and how to develop coping skills. - Offer group presentations to introduce Enough Incorporated as a local resource and how we work with other local resources on their
behalf; to help build awareness about the problem – proliferation of gun violence, (e.g., most Americans do not know there are more
guns in the country than there are people), symptoms of stress, and how to ask for and get help, steps to improve gun safety, etc. - Volunteers staff information booths at local fairs and rallies providing tools to identify a variety of helpful topics: steps to improve gun
safety, how to identify potential threats, whom to ask and how to receive help, mental health support information, etc.
Volunteer-powered surveillance
- Volunteers are the key enablers; they act as security ambassadors who are present on playgrounds, roam school halls, observe at
school events, provide presence at community parks – wherever large groups of children are gathered. - Volunteers are unarmed and tasked to be friendly, quiet observers of what is going on around them to identify potential problems
before they happen. - Volunteers are trained in basic first aid and CPR, know the appropriate resources to quickly contact in case of conflict or harm done.
(Their non-violent weapon provided by Enough Inc. is a smart phone preprogramed with key community resources to be contacted in
the event of threat of harm or actual harm committed.)
Advocacy and Policy Reform
- We educate people to understand the reality of gun proliferation, and the harm their use has already caused for children and adults in
our country. - We inform the public of legislation that puts gun manufacturers’ profits from gun proliferation over the safety of their children.
- We share potential solutions and let the public know how they may impact changes in legislation to better protect their children.
- We provide information to encourage members of our society to fight for policy reforms that will promote the safety of their families
from the scourge of gun violence.
